How To Arrange Your Picture Frames On The Wall

It may take several attempts to arrange your framed artwork and photos into an eye pleasing display that will add to the beauty of your decor. So, before you start hammering nails into your wall arrange and rearrange your pieces until you have a display that pleases you.
If you are redoing a room, artwork should be the finishing touch. Be sure all furniture is in place so you will have a feel for how and where your artwork will go in the room. Lean your artwork against the wall for a few days to see how the light affects the appearance. Colors can look very different at different times of the day so don't be in a hurry to hang your artwork until you are comfortable with how it looks in your room.
Your chosen wall and the décor of your room will determine how your pictures are arranged. Here are some ideas to think about:
Straight Lines
An eye-catching way to hang your picture frames is to put them in a straight line with the images at the same level. This arrangement is great if you have a long wall. To add interest to your wall alternate between tall and short picture frames using the same size frame at each end. This simple arrangement can have a formal look by using classic or vintage frames or a more casual look by using fun colorful photo frames.
Double Lines
For a unique look hang your picture frames in two rows. Arrange the top row so that the tops of the picture frames are at the same level and arrange the bottom row so that the bottoms of the frames are at the same level. Keep about two inches between the rows. Alternating tall and short frames gives this double line display a wonderfully unique look.
Mix it Up
An eclectic display can have great eye appeal if you choose your various picture frames and their placement carefully. First, decide what space you want your display to cover. It is best to confine it to a specific area, like over your sofa or bed or above your mantel. Use your creativity and artistic eye to mix it up by hanging round frames, square frames and rectangular picture frames.
Match Frames and Mats
If you are hanging many picture frames on a single wall, try matching the frames and mats to the color of your wall. This clever approach allows your artwork or photos to be the center of attention as they seem to be floating in the air.
However you decide to hang your artwork or photographs, you need to create your arrangement before you start hanging. One of the best ways to do this is to arrange your frames on the floor beneath the wall where they will be hung, or use a paper representation of your picture frames. This allows you to move the picture frames around until you have a display that you like. You can also use the paper shapes taped to the wall if that works better for your eye. You may want to start with the larger picture frames and fill in around them with the smaller ones.
Artfully arranged artwork can bring great beauty and interest to your home's décor. Selecting artwork and photos that are special to you and arranging them in an eye pleasing display is the perfect finishing touch to your home that you will be proud to share with visitors.

How To Feng Shui Your Home | Interior Design

So the whole idea of feng shui is very personal, but there are some basics that you can always implement in your home. Remember that dead plants are bad, never good. Anything dead is bad chi, so stay away from dead plants. Make sure that there's clutter off every surface. So you don't want a pile of papers all around you ready to fall on you. Keep it light, keep it airy.

It's pretty basic you would think, but you'd be surprised how many people don't listen to that. So keep it light, keep it airy. Make sure your plants are alive. If you have animals like fish and things like that, again those have to be alive too. Make sure that your space is light filled. Everything seems clean and you just have unobstructed views. Another element to really be aware of, because it's really big in feng shui are poisonous arrows.

What that means is just anything pointy facing at you or even your neighbors. So just be aware when you have little objects around the home or your light fixtures, that you don't have anything really just facing at you and pointing at you. It means bad chi for you, so just remember to be aware of what doesn't feel right in your own space. It's very personal and just stick to who you are, and what's true to yourself and keep it light and airy, and those are pretty much the basics to go on.

Finding The Right Unique Home Decor Accessories

Interior Designers
If you have no prior experience, simply contact a professional interior designer. With years of extensive industry experience, designers have the tools and expertise you seek. Not only do they stay abreast of all the latest market trends and changes, they can help you secure furniture and accessories at great prices. This is especially true if looking for captivating and compelling home decorating ideas on a budget. Many designers also network with local showroom galleries, along with retail furniture stores and outlets. These professionals also have the skills to effectively match your existing home decor. This includes selecting the right appliances, tables, desks, and even floral arrangements for your new or current home.
Home Decor Magazines
Another option is to check trade publications. This includes magazines, along with pamphlets and other industry related materials. These are great resources to find design and furnishing ideas. Furthermore, they can help you track down certain pieces and sets that may have evaded you in the past. The latter is a common issue that most home and office owners face. They always seem to find that perfect addition while on the go, and simply cannot remember which store it was available at. The best part of these publications is the tips and suggestions they offer. Whether adding new items or simply revamping existing themes, you can find a wealth of home decorating ideas within trade magazines and on the web.
Traditional or Contemporary Decor
Even with home decorating ideas on a budget, it is important to establish consistency throughout the home. According to industry experts, traditional homes fare better with traditional accessories. This is opposed to contemporary accessories, which work well in more modern and futuristic abodes. There are several aspects to consider when enhancing your unique home décor accessories. Consistency is not only essential; it establishes a nice flow between accessories and components. No matter your specific theme or scheme, there are a myriad of products and accessories available at cost-affordable prices. This includes classy scrollwork candleholders, which offer the perfect balance of light that will illuminate your corridors and entrance ways. Divine corner shelves are also heralded for their streamlined and centralized look, which is perfect for formal and even casual dining areas.
With so many unique home decor accessories available, now is the perfect time to beautify and enhance your home. From throw pillows and side tables to rugs and ornaments, outlets also offer below market prices on a variety of products and brands. All it takes is a little legwork and research to find the right styles and trends to achieve your desired results.
